I bought my first street bike at the age of 15. A 250 Zundapp. I rode it to work everyday, 40 round trip. I bought my first Harley in 1968. It was a 1950 panhead. This picture was taken in 1969. I paid $800 for it and completely stripped it down to the frame and rebuilt it. I sold it in the early 1970's for $3200. I have been a member of RECHOG since 1996. |
I am a newby since Ive only been with Rechog since 2008. I started on a 883 Sportster but last year upgraded to my 2000 Dyna Low Rider, whom I have named "Grace". Ive already put almost 15,000 miles on her. I commute from my home in Petaluma, to my photography studio in San Rafael, every day I can. I ve rode all my life on Honda's, Triumphs, all kinds, even a Bultaco! But the last few years on a Harley with this club has been the most enjoyable riding of all. I love the comfort, finish and feel of them. I work as a professional photographer, writer, editor and graphic designer (Black Cat Studio), and write articles for the club newsletter as well. |
Pat I've been a member of RECHOG since 2003 and I am proudly serving my second term as the Chapter's Director. I have been riding Motorcycles for the better part of my life. Starting out on a Mini bike then racing Moto-Cross in the AMA District 36. I find riding my Harley to be the most enjoyable of all the riding I have done. It's like therapy out there with the wind in your face and the beautiful country we enjoy here in America. Getting together with friends and riding, it just doesn't get any better. Some of my favorite rides include, the Redwood Run, Sturgis, Arizona Bike Week, Laughlin, Street Vibes, Holister, our Chapter rides and so many more. There is a motto I find easy to go with. "Ride and Have Fun". I'll see Ya there. |
My name is Dave Sullivan, I have been married to my wonderful wife Virginia for 17 years and have been riding motorcycles for 32 years. I bought my first Harley in 1995. I am a retired, 20 year veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. I have been an MSF RiderCoach since 1994 and currently own and run Northern California Motorcycle Training in Petaluma, San Mateo and Hayward/San Lorenzo. I love to ride my motorcycle anywhere the road and my imagination takes me. As much as I love Harleys, the best part of REC Hog is the people. I look forward to a long relationship with the chapter, meeting great people, riding and having fun. |
Randy and Conci I joined RECHOG in October of 2003 after purchasing my first Harley Davidson a 2003 Road King (FLHR) which I still ride today. I enjoy riding with our group and hanging out with people who share a passion for bikes as much as I do. My wife Conci and I live in Santa Rosa and I sell real estate for Artisan Sotheby’s International Realty in Sebastopol. I’ve actually had a client jump on the bike with me to view property; that was a lot of fun. My favorite type of riding is touring, the longer the better. My ride to Sturgis in 2006 was the best ride I have ever had; we returned again in 2010 and it was awesome.

I have been a member of the Redwood Empire Chapter HOG since 2005. I enjoy the camaraderie that our chapter provides. I am currently riding a 2009 Street Glide (FLHX). I work for Kaiser Permanente and cover the facilities between Petaluma and Mill Valley which provides the opportunity to ride between the sites and ride the backroads of Sonoma and Marin Counties. It is a good day when we have to make a run out to the clinics at Pt Reyes and Stinson Beach. My best ride thus far has to be Sturgis! What an adventure. |
We have been RECHOG members since 2007 when we purchased our 2007 XL1200 Low. This summer (2009) we added a 2007 Heritage Softail Classic to our stable. We have been riding off and on for decades but became dedicated with our move to Harley-Davidson. We enjoy riding year round. You will find us on many chapter rides, out collecting ABCs or just racking up the miles. I was the "offical" club photographer for 2009 and now for 2010 although you will rarely see my photos without Shirley's. |
I was the Lead Road Captain for the Redwood Empire Chapter for 2009. I throw my leg over a 2006 Road King Classic. You will usually see me riding two up with my wife Cathi. We have two kids and five grandchildren. We truly live to ride and ride to live.
